Mairéad Farrell

is born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. At the age of 14, she is being recruited for the IRA.

In 1976, she is arrested an hour before a planned attack and sent to prison for 10 years. Before that, her boyfriend was shot dead in another IRA-action.

The 31-year-old Mairéad is with two others “on a mission” in Gibraltar. They are unarmed when they are liquidated in broad day- light on the street there by British undercover agents on March 6, 1988.

In 1995, the European Court of Human Rights condemned the murder.
